In May, only about 1.1% COVID-19 hospitalization were in fully vaccinated people, and those fully vaccinated accounted for about 0.8% of COVID-19 deaths. Additionally, the COVID vaccines could protect the people vaccinated, as well as their loved ones. A recent study found that the risk of a fully vaccinated individual to be infected reduced 26.8% two weeks after fully vaccinated, and their household members have an 8.9% reduction in infection risk as well. Ten weeks after fully vaccinated, the risk reduced 69% among the vaccinated individual and 42.9% among their unvaccinated household members.
