CMS to Reprocess Erroneously Denied COVID-19 Vaccine Claims

In recent months, some pharmacists and other immunizers may have experienced claim denials for the coadministration of COVID-19 and other Medicare Part B vaccines. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a statement on October 15, 2025, clarifying that these denials were made in error and that all affected claims submitted between July 1, 2025, and October 15, 2025, will be reprocessed automatically within 30 days. No action is required from the affected immunizers at this time.
