Yesterday, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that the Biden-Harris administration has expanded the availability of over-the-counter (OTC) COVID-19 tests at no cost to Medicare Part B and Medicare Advantage plan members. Beneficiaries are now able to access up to 8 self-administered COVID-19 tests per month at no cost; this marks the first time Medicare has covered an OTC, self-administered COVID-19 test at no cost.
