A U.S. cluster randomized crossover study involving 429,595 older adults found no significant difference in effectiveness between adjuvanted and high-dose influenza vaccines against laboratory-confirmed influenza during the 2023–2024 influenza season. The two types of flu vaccines are currently recommended by the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) for adults aged 65 and older. This finding supports their recommendation that either vaccine may be used. Read more about the study on the journal’s website.
