The Effectiveness of Pfizer Vaccine against the Delta Variant

Dear Pharmacists:

The delta variant has been detected in 43 countries and led to a surge of cases and deaths. Please make sure your patients are aware that fully vaccinated with Pfizer vaccine provides a high level of protection against the delta variant. A recent research study found that the vaccine effectiveness against the delta variant were 35.6% and 88.0% after the first and second dose, respectively. Hopefully this can help motivate someone to get this much needed vaccine!
