V-safe is a smartphone-based tool that uses text messaging and web surveys to provide personalized health check-ins after your patients receive a COVID-19 vaccination. Through v-safe, patients can quickly tell CDC if they have any side effects after getting the COVID-19 vaccine. Depending on their answers, someone from CDC may call to check on them and get more information. And v-safe will remind them to get your second COVID-19 vaccine dose if they need one. When your patients get a COVID-19 vaccine, their healthcare provider will give them a v-safe information sheet. This sheet provides instructions on how to register and use v-safe.

V-safe is a vaccine safety monitoring tool. Certain side-effects may not be picked up during the clinical trial. By asking your patients to enroll in V-safe and report how they are feeling after vaccinations, we can help ensure vaccine safety.
