The CDC recommends that adults aged 65 and older, as well as individuals who are moderately or severely immunocompromised (such as those undergoing cancer treatment, organ transplant recipients, or individuals with HIV), receive the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine 6 months after their initial dose. Patients who received their first dose in October of last year are now due for their second dose, while those who received theirs in November 2024 will be due next month, in May. We encourage you to review your patients' records and remind them of their recommended doses to help keep them up to date and protected with their vaccinations.
